Return and Refund Policy
This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made through Oceano.
If you have any questions about a return, damaged item or refund, contact us at help@oceano.dk before sending anything back.
Right of withdrawal
For physical products purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the last item in your order.
To use your right of withdrawal, you must contact us at help@oceano.dk within 14 days of receiving your order. After notifying us, you have another 14 days to return the item.
Please contact us through the Contact page before sending any return.
Returns must only be sent to the return address provided after your return request has been accepted. Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
Our registered business address is provided for legal and administrative purposes only. It is not a return drop-off location. Returns must not be sent to our registered business address unless this has been agreed in advance.
Return condition
Returned items must be in the same condition as received and packed securely in the original packaging or equivalent protective packaging.
Books, prints and artworks must be returned without damage, handling marks, stains, bends, tears, scratches, fingerprints, damaged corners or other deterioration beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.
You are responsible for the item until it has been returned to us. We recommend using tracked shipping and keeping your shipping receipt.
Return shipping
Unless the item is defective, damaged or incorrect, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Original standard shipping costs will be refunded in accordance with applicable law. Additional costs for upgraded, express or special delivery are not refunded unless required by law.
Prints and artworks
Most prints and artworks are produced to order. This means that the item is printed or prepared after the order has been placed.
For standard prints and artworks offered through the webshop, the normal right of withdrawal applies, even if the item is produced to order.
Returned prints and artworks must be unused, undamaged and returned in protective packaging equivalent to the original packaging.
Prints and artworks cannot be returned if they have handling marks, bends, scratches, stains, fingerprints, damaged corners, damaged surfaces or other deterioration beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.
Custom-made or clearly personalised prints and artworks cannot be returned unless they are defective or incorrect. This includes, for example, custom sizes, custom cropping, commissioned work, personal dedications, or other individual specifications requested by the customer.
Standard product options offered in the webshop, such as available size, format or paper type, are not considered personalised unless clearly stated on the product page.
Books
Books may be returned under the normal right of withdrawal if they are returned in the same condition as received.
Some books are shipped in protective shrink wrap. Breaking or removing the shrink wrap does not in itself remove your right of withdrawal.
However, books must be returned without damage, handling marks, stains, bends, tears, scratches, fingerprints, damaged corners, damaged covers or other deterioration beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.
If a returned book has been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it, or if it is returned in a condition that reduces its resale value, we may deduct the loss in value from the refund where permitted by law.
Books should be returned in the original packaging where possible, or in equivalent protective packaging.
Signed books may be returned if the signature is a standard artist signature.
Books with a personal dedication, name-specific inscription or other personalisation requested by the customer cannot be returned unless they are defective or incorrect.
Digital products
Digital products, including digital editions, e-books and downloadable files, cannot be returned once access or download has been provided, if you have consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged that your right of withdrawal is lost once delivery begins.
If you have purchased a digital product by mistake and have not accessed or downloaded it, contact us at help@oceano.dk as soon as possible.
Damaged, defective or incorrect items
Please inspect your order when it arrives.
If your item is damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us immediately at help@oceano.dk with your order number and clear photos of the item and packaging.
We will assess the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, partial refund or refund where appropriate.
For damaged, defective or incorrect items, return shipping costs are covered by us where a return is required.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
The fastest way to receive another item is to return the original item, wait for the return to be accepted, and place a new order.
Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved.
If approved, the refund will be made to your original payment method.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned item or received documentation that it has been sent back.
Please allow time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.
Uncollected packages
Not collecting a package is not the same as cancelling an order.
If you wish to cancel or return an order, you must contact us at help@oceano.dk
Costs related to uncollected packages may be deducted from the refund where permitted by law.
Statutory rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights, including your rights in relation to defective or incorrect goods.
